Profile

NILIMA BHAT
Director
Nilima is a facilitator of personal transformation.

She helps individuals (and groups) in their quest for conscious evolution, expansion and healing. She does this through a process of self-understanding on many levels: physical, vital, mental, psychic and spiritual. In essence, she enables people to discover their true centre and then to live more authentically.

Her core framework is Yoga, which she defines as any practice that connects to and accesses one’s deeper awareness and energies, in order to reach a higher equilibrium. Her work is inspired and influenced by the Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. In addition, she holds Teacher Training Certification from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre.

In the spirit of synthesis and integration, she applies her training in creative movement and dance therapy, energy medicine modalities and many other transformational practices from different traditions.

Besides Yoga, Nilima has a regular counseling practice and conducts workshops on topics like Relationships, Personal Growth and Stress Management. She is also a sought-after public speaker and panelist.

Nilima has a degree in Life Sciences and Biochemistry and spent 10 years in the media and communications sector, with leading corporations such as ITC/ Sheraton, Philips and ESPN STAR Sports. She is also a trained dancer, performer and choreographer with a background in Indian classical, folk and contemporary dance. She has co-founded a professional dance company (Sri Shakti) whose mission is to de-mystify Indian dance and spiritual sciences for international audiences.

She is presently co-authoring a book with Hong Kong University on Eastern and Western Transformational Practices.
